Calling all blind and visually impaired Mastodon users! I’m looking to switch from Inoreader to a self-hosted RSS reader to save money. Can you recommend any accessible options with robust features?
I’d love to hear about your experiences with:
• Screen reader compatibility
• Keyboard navigation
• Customizable layouts
• Mobile accessibility
Any tips for setting up and maintaining a self-hosted reader as a blind user would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your insights!

In general I had a great experience with FreshRSS. Good keybindings, support for external clients and plenty of add-ons. You should be able to customize it to your liking more easily than with other options.
While not blind myself, the structure of FreshRSS seems good enough to manage with keyboard only and I’m not aware of any accessibility issues regarding audio description - can any #blind users confirm?
It works okay, but felt overcomplicated to me. I like miniflux better.
