“Such models do not develop a life of their own once they are launched. They are functions of their training data,” he said, arguing that the platform is now written from a fixed worldview he labels GASP – globalist, academic, secular, and progressive.

On Gaza, Sanger said Wikipedia’s coverage is “clearly very one-sided,” in favor of Palestinians, and backed founder Jimmy Wales’s intervention on the “Gaza genocide” article, where Wales argued the introduction should contain more of the Israeli perspective.

  • Indiewire is trying really hard to make the answer no, but has limited success imo

But consider that of the roughly 18,450 movies that have been released in that 25-year span, 530 films is not quite 3 percent of all theatrical films, yet in that span the domestic box office has brought in roughly $245.2 billion, and those sequels have accounted for 30 percent of the overall gross. Granted, nearly all of those sequels hail from major studios, and if we only looked at studio output in that span, with no indies that drive a good chunk of the box office, the overall percentage of sequels to studio titles would likely be far greater.

I’m too American for this anecdote because what do you mean you had keys to your elementary school classroom? There’s no way I would have been able to be trusted with that kind of responsibility at 7, I would’ve been like riding the trikes on the track at midnight on a weekend and painting the walls blue or something.
