Old age in my sleep. Most people in my family have lived to be in their 90’s!

The Roman salute excuse that many of his supporters promoted irks me because of how dishonest it is from the get go. There’s not a single Roman work of art that depicts the salute and it actually originated fairly recently under Mussolini’s National Fascist Party.

Ignoring the fact that he did what was probably the most vigorous Nazi salute in existence…

• He agreed with a post on Twitter that promoted the antisemetic conspiracy theory that Jewish people “push hatred” against white people
• He doubled down on the great replacement conspiracy theory
• He supports the AfD party which has not-so-subtle Nazi themes in official posters
• He actively created a safe space for Neo Nazis on his platform
• He threatened to sue researchers documenting the rise in hateful tweets
• After the inauguration “gesture”, instead of apologizing he made Nazi-related puns
• He shared a post absolving Hitler of murdering millions of people

It’s not just not outrageous to call him a Nazi, it’s a perfectly normal and reasonable thing to conclude especially when you consider his other behaviour and the kinds of things he supports

Since you’re on Lemmy, I’ll explain the part of the fediverse that I know best. The best way I can articulate it based on what I know is this… it’s a bunch of different sites, using the same software, known as Lemmy. Each site using the Lemmy software is called an instance, and these instances are able to correspond in a way that is pretty seamless as if it’s all one big site! Although you never actually leave your native instance, it doesn’t feel that way because when you post to an instance that isn’t your native one, it’s like sending a request to that instance to push your post forward. In no time, your post appears on the remote instance!

One of the best things about this is each instance is independently operated, so you don’t have to worry about a rogue admin making unfavourable changes. For instance (hehe) I’m on the lemm.ee instance, but I’m posting to Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world via this page! lemm.ee/post/62441272

Milk should be poured before the cereal. I’ve always done this because pouring milk on top of the cereal gets the top wet and also kind of pushes the cereal down. I love crunchy cereal

Anything less than a 1 makes me raise eyebrows, but the fact some people see just an outline or even nothing still blows my mind

• I have hyperthymia. It’s a constant state of mild mania and when I get flare ups of it it’s like I’m on speed

• Excellent colour vision, forget what it’s called but I have being a girl to thank for this one!

• I have hyperphantasia too, and didn’t realize this until someone posted a diagram on here. When I imagine an apple in my head, it looks the same as me seeing it in real life. I never knew this wasn’t normal until pretty recently!

I have no concept of breakfast foods. Breakfast refers to any food that I have in the morning, which includes leftover Chinese takeout! I typically only eat cereal late at night, so cereal is always either a snack or a second dinner.
