Espanjan yle oli julkaissut omat äänimääränsä, ilmeisesti löyhemmät säännöt kun eivät osallistu. 10k ääntä olisi riittänyt sieltä 12 pisteeseen. Suomessa on populaa melko paljon vähemmän niin taitaa mennä muutamiin satoihin aktiiviäänestäjiin millä saa täydet pojot taskuun. Ja ainakin edellisissä viisuissa perussuomalaisten edustajat oli suorastaan yllyttäneet antamaan ääniä Israelille niin äkkiähän se vaaka heilahtaa.

En nyt sano onko tuo ihan pilkulleen ottaen vilunkipeliä, mutta kohtuu pienellä vaivalla saa pikku kampanjan pystyyn minkä voimin kuka tahansa saa mistä tahansa maasta täydet pojot. Lisäksi äänestäminen menee ilmeisesti per maksuväline, ei suoraan per henkilö tai puhelinnumero niin muutamalla satasella saa ihan merkittävän osan kokonaisäänistä omaan taskuun.

really helps for that antenna to be on the 2nd floor, in a window, with clear view unobstructed by aluminum siding.

It’s on a roof already and quite capable of receiving signal, we just haven’t used OTA broadcasts for a while as IPTV used to work good enough. So no problems with the antenna, I’m just wondering what I should plug in to that.

Hardware is too wide to tell anything useful out of the blue, depends on what you can get your hands on (as in what’s available locally) and what you actually want to run. Used corporate desktop might be fine, raspberry pi might be good too, mini-pcs are popular and so on. All have their pros and cons.

For the OS proxmox is a solid choise. It has both containers and ‘full’ virtual machines as an option. Debian is good too.

And for the utilities, build something you actually want to use. Pihole is pretty nice. Gaming severs are good to practise with if you’re into that stuff. But if you just build stuff for the sake of it you’ll of course learn on the way but it leaves very little to actually enjoy on what you’ve built.

I really like my immich and nextcloud servers and they’re well worth my time to keep up and running. But with those there’s additional challenge to keep them backed up. Losing pihole server wouldn’t be that bad, it’s easy enough to rebuild, but losing a terabyte of photos is a bit another thing.

Here’s a DIY version but pre-built ones are obviously available (and might be better).

Vappu meni sairastaessa niin otin nyt sitten pitkän viikonlopun uusiksi. Mitään kovin ihmeitä ei ole tullut touhuttua, kotilabran palvelimia päivittelin vähän ja touhuilen varmuuskopiointeja vähän parempaan iskuun. Tallissakin pitäisi jossain kohtaa värkätä, moottorisaha olisi ainakin kiva saada takaisin käyttökuntoon.

It was the idea. Law only states that data has to remain in EU, so Microsoft servers in Ireland is enough to fulfil that requirement. They still have exceptions on their TOS that they can move that data to where ever they want if there’s a ‘technical need’ or whatever and there’s exceptions on EU laws (or maybe it was a separate agreement) which spesifically permits this. And USA can still get any data as they have leverage over the ‘main’ company, so Microsoft and others just bend the knee and give whatever is requested, no matter where the data is physically stored.

And now as all kinds of as-a-service -platforms, AI solutions very much included, are apparently the best thing since sliced bread, everyone just jumps on the bandwagon and don’t really worry about hanging themselves with a single provider nor it’s country of origin.

Laki ei minusta kaipaa muutosta, järjestöjen kieltäminen kun törmää aina tavalla tai toisella tuohon määrittelyongelmaan ja toisekseen järjestäytyminen ilman sen kummempaa organisaatiota onnistuu kyllä ihan hyvin. Muutosta pitäisi tulla käytänteisiin, jolloin vappunakin nähtyjä kainalontuulettajien kokoontumisia ei vain yksinkertaisesti sallita ja poliisit käyvät tällaiset kulkueet hajottamassa tarvittavalla voimankäytöllä.

When Soviet Union fell it also was very slow at start, took several years, but then the house of cards started to fall down. I’m not too familiar on how they actually manufacture their drones, but there’s practically no options build anything only from European components. In theory you could team up with some university and get a handful of chips, but that would be extremely expensive and it’s literally a handful of processors at best, so nothing at the scale any kind of production line could do anything with.

If it’s enough to be ‘non-chinese’ then there’s a few options, but it’s still a long supply chain and manufacturers are in South Korea, Japan and (mostly) Taiwan. And even then there’s very little to choose from without relying on chinese designs and toolchains. So practically speaking there’s no way to avoid being dependent on China if you’re building a computer of any kind, no matter if you shoehorn that in a drone or make a new line of laptops.

Also most of the technology everyone else uses. I’d be pretty surprised if there’s anything on the battlefield which doesn’t have something either directly made in China or at least made with machines using chinese components. Smarter Everyday on youtube had a video series while back where they built grill scrubber using only USA manufactured parts and even that was a decent challenge. And all they needed was some steel, few nuts and bolts and few plastic parts. Anything with a charging port would be much more difficult to build without chinese components.

Technically it’s a bike lane, but it has to manage pretty heavy equipment for maintenance and snow clearance, so it’s possible to drive that trough with an ambulance too. And ambulances obviously have permission to use pretty much whatever way they want to when responding to an emergency.

But it might not be the best way, you can’t really drive fast as it’s pretty narrow and there’s pedestrians around. Also there’s plenty of other options to reach either end of that bridge via conventional roads. Obviously if something happens on the bridge then they’ll just drive there, but I’d expect it to be pretty rare for ambulance to cross that bridge.

Luettelit aikalailla täydellisen bingorivin. L:n mallinen kokonaisuus, nurkka ei varmasti ole 90 astetta, seinä ei ole suora kun kyprokit pullistelee kumminkin jostain eikä myöskään pystysuora. Siitä ei ole pelkoa että tuolla matkalla olisi pelkästään yksi iso patti, vaan useampia ja vaihtelevan kokoisia. Rossipohjalattia on lisäksi painunut hirsiseinän mukana seinän vierestä alemmaksi, tosin kuten sanoit se ei ole niin iso ongelma.

Vielä ei ole tullut purettua mitään, mutta nykyiset kalustot istuvat ihan kohtuudella seinässä joten ehkä uusienkin kanssa jotenkin kumminkin pärjätään.

Omat työtunnit on onneksi ilmaisia niin hartiapankista vedetään perinteiseen malliin kaikki ja vähän päälle. Muille tehdessä pitää kyllä olla äitimuori tai joku muu läheinen sukulainen tai muuten hyvä ystävä kyseessä että edes harkitsen talkoohommiin lähtöä keittiön kasauksen merkeissä.

Valmiiksi tehtynä pitäisi varmaan olla keskikokoinen lottovoitto taskussa, vanhassa mökissä kun ei mikään ole suorassa niin aivan varmasti pääsee jos jonkinlaista korokepalaa ja sovitetta tekemään. Saa nähdä mitä muuta hauskaa löytyy, ihme on jos 30+ vuotias lastulevylattia ei ole yhtään mistään pullistellut.

5 henkisellä perheellä tuohon ei ihan hirveän kauaa mene. Ei meinaan kovin kummoiselle makkispekkisluukulle tarvi nykyään mennä että satanen pölähtää kertasyönnillä.
