The confusion appears to have started after Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) creator Troy Hunt announced he had added a large dataset of 183 million credentials to the breach notification service. The data was shared with Hunt by Synthient, a threat intelligence platform that collects and analyzes information from infostealer malware logs. As Hunt explained in a blog post, the collection reflects years of infostealer activity rather than a single new compromise – and certainly not a targeted attack on Gmail.

Short version, 183 million computers have malware on them, and many people logged into their gmail accounts on infected computers.

Not sure I blame Google for this one, but you should probably delete any Google accounts just to be safe (and also stop opening .exe files you get from sketchy websites).

Do yourself and your coworkers a favor and minimize how often Teams is running. If anyone asks just say the desktop version was buggy - no one who has used teams will deny it.

Honestly, this should be a to do for any new homeowner - the process is easy and the tools are cheap! At bare minimum, everyone should own an outlet tester and just wander around plugging it into stuff.

You would be shocked (or, at least you will be if you don’t test) to find out how many outlets have a loose/missing connection or are wired backwards. Takes 30 seconds to fix and could save you a lot of headache.

No issue with embossed logos. Stainless steel is not guaranteed to work though - plain stainless steel is not magnetic (thus doesn’t work), but most manufacturers sandwich other metals between layers of stainless to make them induction compatible

They’re not perfect, because I do sometimes space out through their beeping, but they help keep me on task when I remember to set them

If you still struggle, maybe an air fryer is right for you, they typically have timed modes.

Someone else mentioned the dorm room system you have to keep pressing a button to trigger - you could pretty easily recreate this with a countertop induction cooktop, pressure cooker, or air fryer. Just plug into a smart switch, and use Home Assistant + a button, and have it auto shutoff after X time since last button press.

If you installed through Steam, gaming on Linux is pretty seamless and should work out of the box. If you purchased it through another store or acquired through other means, you may have to jump through a hurdle or two to get proton set up and dialed in.

I’ve done Linux desktops on and off over the years but have had multiple Deb-based servers consistently for 10+ years now. Came time to commit to a desktop and I had to go Mint because I knew I’d be apt installing everything and cursing at myself if I went with anything else

Now ask yourself, is that because Google isn’t subsidizing device costs… Or perhaps…

I love 2D pixel art, but the 3D art style here does not do it for me - I wish them the best of luck, but I dont think I’ll be picking this one up any time soon.
