4·3 years agoThis. Basically anything that you could watch “as a movie” on YouTube that doesn’t have excessive filler in between

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•I'm so glad I waited nearly 3 years to play Cyberpunk 2077, but I dread the fact that this is our new normal
2·3 years agoHonestly it’s the smart way. By then the hardware to play that game is also much more affordable and most of the performance issues are gone

932·3 years agoI still think it’s hilarious that Facebook renamed to Meta, and anything they did with the “metaverse” was a huge failure. It’s like they didn’t learn their lesson from Second Life.
So you mean we would have weird useless concrete structures everywhere? I doubt it

5·3 years agoOne great way is browsing an instance’s communities, as the instances often have a specific theme as well these days. Like programming.dev
I think it depends a lot on the sub, some of the niche communities with fewer subs just don’t give a crap about reddit politics. And honestly, if you’re just a casual web user with adblock checking in every couple of days, why should you
Just checked today and found out that they decided to rob all users of their coins.
Unfortunately some topic specific subs haven’t made the jump to Lemmy yet, so for those I still have to check there occasionally
It becomes enjoyable when you are fit. When you are not, your body will hate you, until you are fit enough.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why are fediverse admins blocking out threads?English
3·3 years agoIt’s not making anyone aware. For all I know, Meta probably wouldn’t even show the source instance, just abuse the content

2·3 years agoI don’t know a lot about the protocol. Don’t the admins of the other instances decide who they federate with? As any additional federated instances will cause more traffic

2·3 years agoIt’s the same on reddit? Surprised no one.
I just wonder how you can directly query the DB like that. You’d have to be admin of an instance?
