I just got this error for the first time yesterday and was briefly confused. I didn’t realize that you don’t automatically get sudo privileges when you set up an admin account on every distro.

This happened to me too a few years ago, and I’m also quite a calm person, so it caught me by surprise.

It was 6 months or so after becoming a father, and my best guess is that the sleep deprivation was messing with my head. It stopped and I’ve been fine since.

I just really want to see federated social media become a viable alternative to the corporate-run sites, so whenever I see funny stuff anywhere that I think people will like, I save it to my “for lemmy” folder and trickle out a handful of memes every day.
