For context: Elon Musk spent almost 300 million Dollars to help Trump win in the US. The largest party in Germany received about 5 million dollars in large donations for the last election. I assume it looks similar in France. This is NOTHING for Musk. If he wants to buy the election, he can - easily.

It’s time for the EU to limit the amount individuals can donate to political causes. And to make any donations from companies illegal. 10k per person, per year. Who has this much money to spare anyway? If you have more money lying around that you don’t need, how about donating to charity instead?

Cars are a huge money grave. We could build cities in a way that make cars obsolete within the city. In fact, many cities here in Europe are making small steps into that direction, which I love.

Germany must explore other industries besides car manufacturing.

This! Our industry is far too dependent on the car market. Car ownership is going down and people don’t need to buy new cars all the time. The market is saturated. When I look around, everybody is driving a relatively new car that won’t have to be replaced for years. It’s just not a growth industry - and by the love of god, it shouldn’t be one.

It’s basically a debit card that you can use everywhere in the EU. This means you don’t have to use a credit card that almost certainly uses the American VISA/Mastercard network when traveling Europe.

You might still need a credit card for world-wide payments, but 99.9% of my payments are within the EU, so I’m looking forward to ditching US payment rails.
