What do you mean lacking support for keyboards and controllers? Maybe for doing weird custom stuff like RGB, but for anything else they’re standard HIDs and will work with anything, no “support” needed. You can plug a USB keyboard and mouse into your phone and it’ll work if you want.

I’m currently playing Clair Obscur on linux through steam with a cheap fake xbox controller I got off ebay, and it works perfectly. I’m using an Nvidia card too, and I haven’t had to do any customisation or anything.

Easy anti-cheat won’t work, so Valorant/Fortnite, etc. are out of the question for now, but any games that don’t use that kind of malware are probably fine.

The principle in the UK is almost sound. Take taxpayer money and give it to an NGO. Though they do it through a separate “licence” company which is a parasite, the original idea was so it could demonstrate at all levels it was independent of government interference. Rather like US democracy, it hasn’t worked out as well as it should have, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a reasonable idea in the future.

Cote d’or, Hershey’s, Reese’s and Oreos are objectively disgusting anyway. Peanut M&Ms are barely tolerable. Mars is ok if you go to the trouble of cutting it up and putting it in the fridge. Snickers has the wrong name. The only thing I’d say tastes good in that block is the Toblerone and I’m fine giving it up for ethical reasons.

You think it’ll be the bad example other countries learn from, but loads of other countries are already following suit.

The government can decree that ISPs have to block the IP addresses of known VPN endpoints. That’s perfectly possible. They did something similar with piracy sites before (e.g. if you go visit piratebay on virgin media you’ll get an error page). It’s a game of cat-and-mouse because if it’s done with DNS then aliases pop up immediately, and if it’s by IP then other proxies pop up, but the fact is they could make is so difficult for average users that people give up.

The stupidest thing about this that I always go on about is that they’re saying the better scale is the one that goes from 0 to 100. i.e. metric. So why not use that for other measurements?
