The Trump administration is drawing up “secret lists of terrorist groups inside the United States,” Senator Elissa Slotkin said on the floor of Congress yesterday — the first such reference to the effects of National Security Presidential Memorandum 7 (NSPM-7). The directive, as I’ve reported, lays out Donald Trump’s policies with regard to equating “anti-Christian” and “anti-capitalist”…

“The Trump administration define[s] domestic terrorism incredibly broadly,” Slotkin said. “It suggests that any group that talks about anti-Christian values, views they don’t like on migration or race, differing views on the role of the family, religion, or morality could all be grounds for labelling an organization as domestic terrorists.”

I’d really like to speak to those senators so I can look them in the eyes and say, “YOU DON’T SAY?!”

Any brain dead idiot who was aware of The Fanta Menace since the fucking 80s knew this is exactly where this was gonna go. People like myself said it repeatedly, but why listen to reason when you can fall into the same old racist patterns and pretend it’s “economic anxiety” or that you like how he “tells it like it is” or that you seriously believe some rich fuck who’s never worked a day in his life is somehow the champion of the common person.

Now the senators are warning us, now they’re scared? Where the fuck were they this past decade? What have they done to stop this shit from happening? Fucking ridiculous.

If it can happen to anyone it can happen to everyone.

If the government is keeping a secret list of citizens, then they can make up whatever reason they need to add whoever they need to add to the list.

Look up the history of all the people that ended up labeled as communists during the McCarthy years, regardless of whether they were actually communists. Or, actually, don’t look up that list bc you’ll probably get auto populated to this list.

But seriously, alongside their secret Palantir database that we also don’t need to worry about, the government is keeping a list of citizens who they can accuse of belonging to a political organization that doesn’t even exist.

It’s almost like somebody that hates America (dare I say somebody who is anti-American?) is creating policies that replicate some of America’s most dark and shameful history in order to troll and fuck with us.

It’s like they’re relying on most Americans to not know their own history, and be too dumb or naive to realize what they’re actually doing. And on the off chance Americans ever do wake the fuck up and realize what’s going on, they’ll be too scared to actually speak out against it bc they don’t want to wind up on the list.

TBH, it thought it said “wishlist” and I kept thinking that seemed too kind of a thing for this administration to be concerned about. It took me three re-reads of the title before I saw it said “watchlist”.
