Bit frustrating watching a lot of modern shows set in the middle-ish ages dressing everyone in boring brown leather and chainmail.
Meanwhile the French in real life were blazing brighter than the fucking sun cause why the hell not.
Beautiful, yet intimidating.
Is this the moment before they were skewered by long bow arrows?
Funny enough, the longbow didn’t stop the French charge at Agincourt. The French actually made contact with the main body of the English infantry, and engaged in a prolonged melee. It was just that after the exhaustion of the charge, and the longbowmen emptying the rest of their arrows into the French flank before picking up their mallets, the French knights were worn down enough to be captured or repelled.
At first glance I thought it was a bustling ren-fair festival rather than historical battle.
Great moments in peasants getting to slaughter rich nobheads.
