My most recent discovery is a radio station for hardcore/post/punk/noise: https://12xu.stream.laut.fm/

Not exactly new (~1 year), but always happy when someone discovers them or receives recommendations about Grian and his band.

Starbuster by Fontaines D.C. from Ireland

The slang is slightly strong in this one, I absolutely get what they are trying to express, but for many people who are not from Ireland, it can be tough to understand. This is why I’m happy there’s a solid lyrics website offering some help and suggestions:

    https://genius.com/artists/Fontaines-dc

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did when I first listened to it.

EDIT: Also listening to an ungodly amount of Idles and Big Special lately. =)

Fontaines DC, yay! They’re pretty amazing.

      Idles, too.

So it follows that I should check out Big Special.

Are you also listening to Bagel Radio by any chance?

I’m not aware of them yet, but maybe you could share me a link? (Bagel Radio?

Big Special are great British Punk Grime, along with Slavves aka Soft Play. They are also worth checking out and you won’t regnet it.

My Personal fav of Big Special is: Desperate Breakfast

I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do. :)

I’ve been a bit busy lately, haven’t been actively discovering as much as I’d like, but I was pleased to find out that Cardiacs released a new album after a long hiatus (RIP Tim).

    So, weird stuff like that

This is a community dedicated to sharing lesser-known music. Please try to submit and share lesser known music. I reserve the right to remove any music I feel is not obscure enough. Please don’t take it personally if I do. It’s just some people are sometimes not aware that a band or a project is bigger than they think.

Please try to format roughly like this:

Artist Name - Song Title [Genre] [Year]

Obscurity Guidelines:

  1. Any artist with more than one song with over 2 million listens or views on Spotify or Youtube is not considered obscure.
  2. Any sideproject of a popular band or musician or celebrity.
  3. Covers and Remixes of popular songs that violate rule (1) on their own. Covers of popular songs tend to attract more attention than the band might.

Please do not post any artist more than once a week.
