The opening ceremony was cool. The paint tubes were really fun, and I loved how the rings came together. The disconnected parade of nations was a bit weird, but I guess it’s nice that more athletes got to walk.
Watching speed skating now.
Watching the women’s downhill race, what a beautiful location:
I was also watching a bit of that. I hope the woman who crashed is ok. The commentators were going on about how she hit her knee…but that happened right after she landed on her head & neck.
It’s been really weird learning that like all of the Olympic skaters have the same coaches. I think I read 14 or 16 different countries had their skaters coached by the same pair.
Oh wow that’s really weird. You talking about speed skaters or figure skaters? (Or is there another kind?)
