I keep wondering if Apex and the controlling monsters aspect is going to find a Titan to test it on and basically create this universe’s version of Gigan (part cybernetic, part kaiju).
They are already responsible for Mechagodzilla and now they have that prototype monster control device. They have recruited May who will continue her code and make this all more real.
I think May has drunk the Flavour-aid and will do her best to make it happen. Of course, Apex isn’t looking for coexistence, just control.
