House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Sunday said Democrats will not focus on impeaching President Trump if they regain a majority in the lower chamber after midterm elections.

“I’ve made clear from the very beginning that our top priority is going to be to drive down the high cost of living,” the House minority leader added.

The House minority leader has lauded Democrats’ push for redistricting nationwide in an effort to pick up additional House seats and signaled that the party will advocate more for working-class Americans, after Democrats saw losses from the key demographic in the 2024 election.

    Harris chose a losing policy. She lost.

    Not that any centrist has read this far, but I voted for her. I fully expect abuse from people who made the assumption that I didn’t as soon as I said she chose a losing policy.

      There’s nothing wrong with acknowledging a candidate chose a losing strategy but still voting for them because you also acknowledge the opposition is worse. I did the same thing.

      Unfortunately, a lot of stupid people were convinced to not vote or vote for a 3rd party with no possibility of winning.

        There’s nothing wrong with acknowledging a candidate chose a losing strategy but still voting for them because you also acknowledge the opposition is worse. I did the same thing.

        Saying anything about harris that centrists don’t want to hear is regarded as a prima facie confession of being Someone Who Didn’t Vote For Genocide Like We Ordered!

        Yeah, the electorate has stupid people in it. It also has people for whom genocide is a dealbreaker. A skilled politician could win them over. Centrists will just shout at them.
