Anyone interested should read The Right of the People: Democracy and the Case for a New American Founding by Osita Nwanevu, killer book about what the founding fathers actually wanted (not democracy).

After hearing about Athenian democracy and how it’s basically a perfect solution for our current troubles, it makes me sad it’s never going to happen.
