If you haven’t watched it yet, do yourself a favour, watch it in black & white not the true colour hue. I watched episode 1 in colour first and it all looks off. I just started rewatching it with my kid and I made them set it for black and white the cinematography slaps so much harder!

Black and white is definitely the intended way to watch. I chose chaos and jumped between formats between episodes and while the color does look “off”, I adjusted pretty quickly and found it had its own special moments.

That was a fun first episode. The style of talking is a little weird getting used to, but I suppose it is period appropriate.

I didn’t catch it when he first said it, but “Cat Harding” sounds awfully close to Felicia Harding/Black Cat, so that should be an interesting development. Of course once I made that connection the Flint Marko one was less if a surprise (Sandman).

It’s interesting trying to figure out the larger lore of the world. It seems like super powered individuals are well known. No one seemed surprised that a man had the power to catch fire. But it doesn’t seem like people expect to run into them. (Also the guy on fire still chose that approach, even through he wasn’t bullet proof. Unless he is. We’ll find out soon I suspect.)

The secretary is excellent, she’s going to be a fun character.
