Based on a true story…
Doesn’t work against “miss” ngl. People will still specify with a “female doctor,” even when the context is not needed.
Once I have a doctorate I shall be :
“her grandeur, Doctor the Viscountess Firstname Lastname of Fiefdom”
which I think is pretty cool 😎
why is this version AI generated
Are you referring to my questionable font choice? IDK about the left-hand side of the image, I just downloaded the template but it looked right to me, all I did was add in the text, as one is want to do with memes.
No, the actual meme format appears to be a generated version of the regular meme. The font is fine, I don’t think you personally generated the meme.
Yeah, totally see it now. Woops.
Oh hey it’s me eleven years ago
Did you end up getting the doctorate or burning out?
I did get my doctorate, but ngl I did come pretty close to washing out midway through due to a depressive episode. Turns out the grad school experience is pretty unhealthy much of the time.
doesnt work in my silly overgendered language we literally say ms/mr doctor which is absolutely insane if i think about it
Pretty weird how some languages literally use “o” for all their pronouns while other language say that the table is obviously a woman.
(Azerbaijani and Spanish if anyone’s curious)
Yeah I got a PhD! Pretty huge… Dysphoria 😔
It’s a lot easier and cheaper to just get ordained online for cheap or free and go by Reverend, like I sometimes do, for the same reasons. I’m a Dudeist Priest. I can marry people! Weeee!
Uuuuuhhh…totally still cis, though.
If anyone wants to go this route, the Universal Life Church will ordain anyone for free, and all you have to do is fill out a form online. Literally only takes a couple of minutes. https://www.ulc.org/
Also handy if you want to officiate a friend’s wedding (and they have handy guides on how to go about that).
