    Testosterone levels directly impact muscle mass. Sure, some quick hit of testosterone, like the cartoon implies, isn’t going to do shit here.

    But, cis males are definitely stronger than cis females, given equal factors of diet, exercise, and accounting for genetic anomalies. Males aren’t only defined by testosterone levels, but it’s the main natural hormone that feeds into muscle generation. To deny this is to deny hundreds of thousands of years of human evolution.

    This first article is a messy presentation of a bunch of different studies, some of which are conflicting with each other or talking about sports that aren’t even strength-related, and then concludes with “There’s simply not a lot of great research out there.” It’s a “meta-analysis” without the scientific rigor of a real meta-analysis. Garbage in, garbage out. The second states the obvious: not all sports are strength-related and have different desirable traits. No shit, Sherlock.
