Yeah but their agents aren’t. If a blind actor has a blind agent that truly would be a case of the blind leading the blind.
Edit: blind actor, not bland actor, lol
Come on I know being bland isn’t ideal but there are worse things in the world /s
Tbf, the difference between blindness and sightedness isn’t always black and white. There is an actor at the theater I work with who uses a stick to get around, but he can read a script on his massive tablet with the text blown up real big and the brightness high enough.
I feel out of the loop on this one.
Did Netflix have a publicity fail recently where they argued about how posting some flyers in a common area for employees was enough to satisfy some law?
(All I get from searching “Netflix” and “Blind” are news results for “Love is Blind”).
The post from yesterday in this community is the poster, a lot of people pointed out that blind people wouldn’t be able to read it, that’s mostly it.
Thanks, I wandered in from “All”. Content looks fun in here so I’ll subscribe and stick around for a while.
I still need to watch the latest Netflix adaptation, of the show, it just hasn’t been a high priority for me yet.
They put out a casting call describing toph as a a character and encouraged visually impaired people to apply. It is a running gag in the series. I am unsure wether they used a description which might have helped their course.
No fail of any sort, just a public post looking for actresses.
Do you really expect them to hire actual blind people when they still cast white people instead of hiring an ethnic person play those rolls?
