Trying to come up with my MtF name change.

It’s really pretty and goes decent with my last name, but it sounds similar to “ghislaine” and that’s unfortunate.

Would the association have been a deal-breaker for you? Or would other people not even notice it?

Edit: Genuienly apprexiate the answers. I decided to slowly start using Elaine within small friend groups etc. Really excited!
