Any #blind #Windows users out there know of an #accessible way to boot from a USB drive? Really don’t want to ask my family for sighted help. They’re pretty much convinced putting #Linux on this computer will break it.

@RareBird_15 Prolly cause’a some “Made for Windows” label they saw.
😆Have a poke around the BIOS for clues on how to boot that computer from USB. Windows has nothing to do with the issue.
@RareBird_15 @mastoblind @main Google which key gets you to the boot menu on your computer. Turn on the computer and press that key repeatedly, every couple of seconds, for about 20 seconds. Press down arrow and enter. Repeat as needed, adding an extra press of the down arrow. Also, you have a smartphone of some kind? Just use that and Aira. Then you’ll know the timing and key sequence forever.
@RareBird_15 @mastoblind @main If you use He My Eyes and call the accessibility Help Desk, they can help you set it up.
@glaroc @mastoblind @main Oh, okay. I knew they’d help with Microsoft-related stuff, but I didn’t think they’d help with dual booting or even moving away from Windows.
