I'm curious to hear from fellow blind users about your favorite accessible Windows apps! I just reinstalled Windows and would love some recommendations. What apps do you find essential for daily

I’m curious to hear from fellow blind users about your favorite accessible Windows apps! I just reinstalled Windows and would love some recommendations. What apps do you find essential for daily tasks, productivity, or just for fun? Please share your favorites! #Blind #VisuallyImpaired #Accessibility #WindowsApps #AssistiveTechnology #Windows

@RareBird15 @mastoblind @main I mostly use the Microsoft products, Outlook, Ege, Word, Excel and To Do, One Note, One Drive. I also use Bit Warden for a password manager.

@RareBird15 @main Thanks for raising this, I think it’s going to be an interesting thread. Here are a few of my favourites. I don’t use all of these every day, of course, but they’re some of what I make sure I install whenever I settle in on a computer. Links provided when not obvious. Also, these aren’t all perfect, whether in accessibility or anything else, they’re just the ones I use and like.

    Jarte for quick notes www.jarte.com

    Sonobus for audio transmission www.sonobus.net

    Thunderbird, betterbird, firefox, and chromium.

    SharpKeys for keyboard remapping https://github.com/randyrants/sharpkeys

Vmware Workstation for running other operating systems www.vmware.com

    QRead for reading books www.q-continuum.net

    MicroSIP for phone calls www.microsip.org

    VLC

the many nirsoft utilities for all sorts of things https://www.nirsoft.net/

    OpenVPN

    TightVNC for remote connections

Obviously, the screen readers, NVDA and Jaws.
