This is literally Tik Tok disallowing US users to access it, rather than the H. R. 7521 “ban” forcing app stores to remove it from the app store. The law doesn’t remove the app from people’s devices and it doesn’t and can’t force manufacturers to do so. Tik Tok made a statement that they would remove access to US accounts if SCOTUS upheld the new law, and they have followed through on that threat. It’s not even just Tik Tok. Other apps and services owned by Tik Tok or distributed by Tik Tok are also doing this.
