That’s nice, but most countries already have their national networks. I think the Digital Euro is probably a better solution, since (I believe) it’s in collaboration with the national networks, instead of replacing them.

It is basically an open-source prepaid PayPal.
Being prepaid decouples it from given banking networks (just like paypal does).
