If Ferrari’s race engineers don’t figure out how to mesh with their drivers, they’ll be out of any meaningful championship results by Monaco

I’m not sure that’s the main issue to be honest, even though it is of course an issue. The car is just slow. I think they are already out of both championships pretty much. The car isn’t fast enough to fight at the front, and there doesn’t seem to be that much potential in it to unlock either from what Charles said after the race. They are way behind, and there isn’t anything to suggest they’ll be able to leapfrog the teams ahead in a development race this season. The play at this point is probably to just pack it up and switch focus to the new regulations. No use wasting money and invaluable wind tunnel time on a losing fight this year.

Red Bull is gonna get lots more air tunnel time for 2026 by only having one driver do anything this year. Maybe this is 5d chess by red bull upper management. They make the car undrivable for anyone that isn’t at Maxs level of car control and machine like precision. So he can still probably do well and possibly win the drivers championship but then they get more time to test the 2026 car due to sliding backwards in the constructor’s over the year.

    Genius.
