I really want to get some of the hyper-specific pamphlets from 30 Rock printed up and leave them lying around.

“I’ve had this pamphlet made up. It was expensive, but I’m really tired of discussing this with you.”

That’s exactly what I want haha Hyper-specific pamphlets to just hand out to people because I’m tired of having the same conversation with them.

      “Per my last email, Sean

      “We’ve talked about this, Debbie

“I always think of a third thing, Brandon

I only have a black and white printer. I also don’t know if it would be hilarious or mortifying if I made / found the design for those and took them somewhere to have professionally printed 😂

The trick is to walk in confidently and make eye contact with the person working at the print shop. Act like it’s a totally normal brochure. Try not to laugh.

Once-upon-a-time print shop employee here: the secret to professional-looking print media is good paper. Almost everything except insanely high volume products is are printed on a color laser printer, and most of the useful difference between a cheap Brother printer and a five-figure digital press has to do with printing larger pages, faster, on both sides automatically and/or on cardstock. If you’re patient, have a small color laser printer, a good template for designing trifold brochures, and don’t need anything bigger than 8.5x11, you can have as many oddly specific pamphlets as your heart desires!

I’ve got a laser printer, but it’s only monochrome. I do have some friends that print photos (I just have mine printed at walmart). Maybe I can get some good paper stock and call in a favor. I’d still need to design them, but that part I can probably handle.

Thinking out loud here, so forgive me, but I’d like to do something where they’re printed in color as a template and I can load those in my B&W printer to print the actual text so I can personalize them as-needed.
