I think that the amount of information apps give about the progress of the person doing the delivery can create an anxiety cycle for the person ordering food. That can lead to confrontations because humans don’t actually like coerciveness.
That combined with “hungry angry” is an evolutionary adaptation to make sure that we have less empathy for our hunted or slaughtered animals for food … yup food delivery is fucking dangerous business.
Doing it during a national sporting event involving a local teams can be outright physically dangerous.
