(from Tom Fischbach, creator of Twokinds)
WHEN YOU CAN’T AFFORD STREAMING ON AN NFL PLAYER SALARY, PRICES ARE TOO DAMN HIGH
this is where we’re at now. misspelling “Steelers” as “Stealers” is newsworthy.
Well, that’s stupid.
Considering it’s me in the picture, and thus my reputation on the line if it gets misused, I think I should have some say.
Thanks for strawmanning me though.
Yeah, but if I then want to put that picture of me on my social media page or a website or the back of a cheaply-manufactured wristwatch or what have you, why is the photographer allowed to tell me no?
Note, for example, that in the article in the original post, the Associated Press is careful to say that the person who took the famous photo doesn’t have copyright over it. They do.
You know what? I’m gonna Sonarr and Jellyfin even harder
does the rest of gen z not know how to torrent? i thought everyone did
ohhh nooooo, who could possibly have seen this coming
not like that repo was getting constantly vandalized as people realized it contained copyrighted code that the winamp owners didn’t have the rights to which the project managers were halfheartedly playing whack-a-mole with
I do so love it when leftists who have never interacted with me beyond reading a single comment tell me what I believe
FFmpeg has FFV1 which is lossless
So, none of the above, but you’re still not going to vote?
I’d like to focus my counterargument. Which of these statements do you disagree with?
First they politicized a pandemic, now they’re politicizing a hurricane.
When will it end?
programmerhumor lemmy continuing the fine r/programmerhumor tradition of memes that are only tangentially related to technology and have dick all to do with programming posted by non programmers who want to hang out with the hackermen
Do you actually think we’re going to take your toothbrushes?
Not in the sense that they’ll all be confiscated, but in the sense that multiple anarcho-communists have told me that under their utopia, theft will not be a crime. Obviously, if someone stole something, they must have needed it more than you. They’ve also told me that under anarcho-communism, there will be no state, thus no laws, thus no justice system. If you are wronged, your only recourse is vigilantism – a point I can’t help but notice you quoted but conveniently glossed over. Almost like you’re trying to make a strawman or something. But I digress. Vigilantism doesn’t work (I’d be happy to explain why if you have trouble with that as well) and I’m still waiting to hear a single anarcho-communist propose an alternative.
This is you proving the point made in the comic.
That is you proving you did not read any part of my comment except the last two sentences. Does leftism only count if I do it in public? Does saying I voted for Trump to get people whose definition of conservative is “anyone right of Ursula K. LeGuin” to stop treating me like a soul who needs saving make me a bigot despite my actions to the contrary?
The human, of course, flies anyway, because it does not care what dragons think is impossible.
