Yes, The 5v regulator is the same and it is outputting 5.01v under load and 5.12v no load. Not sure why the first went bad but I’m guessing the POS 5v reg sent a spike on the 5v rail when it went bad and that damaged the TLV75733. The Teensy acts exactly the same connected to a USB unmounted from the board. It boots, runs for a min while the TLV heats up then the 3v3 drops and the Teensy crashes.

I run a Unifi USG-1 router/gateway now but before that I got a used AC1000 router from the thrift store for $5 and loaded OpenWRT on that. I eventually got an Aris modem to replace the Comcrap Gateway because it was messing with the DNS traffic, even when piHole was set as DNS for every machine. So if I were you I would go look at the OpenWRT list of units that will accept their firmware. Pay attention to the hardware revision as well as the model number, it matters.

Then head over to a local thrift store or two and see if you can find any for cheep.
Do beeper services even exist anymore? I would think they all got displaced by cell phones long ago.
No beeper in this photo. Could be a piezoelectric disk hidden some where they are small and thin. what’s on the other side of the PCB? Also look stuck to the plastic, piezos are often stuck to the casing to use it as a sounding board.
Edit: not sure what the yellow thing, cap maybe, can you get a better picture of the text on it ?
Nice try, scammer.

@jarrodsfarrell This is out of production but you can use this link to get the package size and form factor to search for a replacement.
Or, just make it fun friendly competition and start a quiz show like tournament of teams from each instance, no need for war.
I would say give them a minute, month, year. They all just had a major ongoing project conclude in an unwanted way and they all deserve a break. Then in a few months or years maybe. Also, I don’t know the APIs for either platform but I would guess they are quite different so it might be starting over. As for Lemmy, I’m new to the platform but have been watching it for a while and reddit just gave me the nudge. Sure there will be a bunch of fair weather users that will go back to reddit once things die down, but they where not here before and Lemmy will be fine once they leave. Lemmy is such a breath of fresh air from the toxic nature of reddit and I just hope the Lemmy-for-a-day crowed can behave themselves for the period they are here.
Update: It seems to have been a browser issue. After waiting 20min or so and clearing the cache then restarting the browser I was able to post without the issue.
Yes, I am getting that issue as well. That seems to happen on anything that causes a page refreash on lemmy.ml To reproduce this reliably you can go to a communities home page and hit the browser refreash button (or F5). It will happen intermittently while reading post comments, etc. but this is a way that I can defiantly trigger it.
I might give that a later this week, thanks.
iPad user as well, one thing I have noticed is that if you are using the landscape mode and rotate / expand the view using the buttons in the lower left. As soon as you go to a link in a post the view switches back to iPhone portrait mode. I’m sure this is probably an issue with the iPad OS itself but just something to note.
Hey, it actually worked and took less the a couple of min.
