I think it means more dangerous to use, not more dangerous to be around.
I think it means more dangerous to use, not more dangerous to be around.
Some absolutely do, some nominally don’t but don’t stop to think about the implications of what they say they want, and probably most think education is great. The term Christian refers to so many people that making any broad assertions is going to be wrong for large percentages of the group.
You know 16 is the age of consent for well over half the US states as well right? Not defending people that abuse that fact, but that is a very common age to use as the cutoff point.
Unfortunately that depends on the contents of the classified documents, it could be anything from what did the president have for lunch one day to all the details one could ever want on the nation’s nuclear weapon capabilities. Even if the president technically can declassify such documents, it is not a good idea to actually do so.
I’m also relatively confident that it wouldn’t have happened at all had it been a white man ringing the doorbell, or a black man on the inside of that house.
See, you say they can’t impeach someone who isn’t in office, I’m pretty sure they actually can but usually just don’t bother because there didn’t used to be much point.
You missed a step in that plan of yours of also taking out every single supreme court justice that decided to give the president full immunity at the same time he took out Trump. Anyone willing to do that is clearly both too traitorous to the nation to be allowed to keep their and too stupid for not seeing that coming to be allowed to live and continue to do such damage in the future.
(Disclaimer, not actually advocating for murder, I don’t think)
On one hand yes, knowingly endangering lives like that could be worth a heftier fine, on the other hand everything made plus ten percent seems like a pretty good fine to use if you want to actually discourage behavior across the board.
Every cent made is a fine I want to see more of. Anything less is going to be seen as just the cost of doing business and the behavior will continue.
Oh god it gets so so so much worse than that. Video from Jon Stewart on how deep the rabbit hole goes.
The whole stock market is gambling, short selling is just the way to profit on the prediction of a price going down instead of up. Really short selling is one of the least sketchy things the stock market does, because at least it’s public how it works.
Apple does its best to block everyone else from collecting data on users. They want a monopoly on that stuff.
Libraries are free, open to everyone, and do more than just lend out books.
To answer your question about the insurance thing, yes. Yes, that is a thing that is happening today. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/11/technology/carmakers-driver-tracking-insurance.html
The concern is what other pieces of information are they collecting, and when and who do they share that information with. Does it also collect data on what places you visit, or what kind of potentially controversial information you look up. People are concerned about things like visits to a hospital making its way to their employer and insurance against their will, or a trans person being outed by the ads they are served in front of their family, or maybe that the police will knock down their door because their GPS falsely placed them at the scene of a crime. Or what if they live in an actual fascist regime, and that government comes knocking because they searched for something verboten. Even aside from all that, all this data is inherently your’s, and yet all these companies collecting it are just taking it from you without your explicit knowledge or consent and without you seeing even a dime or what a quick search tells me is a multi-billion dollar industry.
Reading this post makes me so happy that I instantly gravitated towards Linux Mint for my Framework. I’ve been using that distro on it for a while now and I almost forget that it’s not Windows at times with how much it just works (actually it feels more stable than the Windows install I have on one of my other machines).
I looked into mutual combat a while back, it’s not actually a legal thing. Rather it’s a consequence of it being really hard to prosecute people for fighting when both parties willingly participated.
Damn, I was hoping this included the Honjo Masamune.
Only half of congress works that way, the other half distributes representatives based on population.
Celeste is $2 right now and is really good.
