I’ll take the bear in case you were wondering too.
Care to explain what an awful choice that is?

I’ve also seen it used as niche industry abbreviations, which made me very uncomfortable at first, regardless of it being disused
This is huge. Thank you!
Hi, you can believe what you want to believe, but I wish I pursued care when I was younger (began questioning at the onset of puberty) rather than transitioning at 25.
The most commonly used model is puberty blockers with parental consent up until 16 and then HRT only with parental consent at 16.
Forcing a child to undergo a puberty that they do not want, is cruel!
Children do not choose to transition because they think it’s cool to do so. They still get bullied for it. At least set them up to have a more stable adulthood.
This is a case of tone not coming across text well 😅
I’m agreeing with you
It’s literally slur reclamation. The same way you’ll find the f slur in queer spaces sometimes but not others. Referring to trans people as “transgenders” or even just referring to someone as “a trans” is actively used in an extremely hateful way frequently. If you’re cis, it might be a good idea to just accept that people don’t like to be referred to that way.
Just an idea.
Wait until you learn about this extreme thing called sublimation, it’s going to blow your mind…
Oh it’s not directly one of the three states? Plasma isn’t real? I better learn my basics again.
Trans people have literally been murdered as a direct, traceable result of her “free speech”. Several more people have been victims of harassment campaigns. She has actively engaged in Holocaust denial.
It’s only cryptic because it’s something that requires nuance, and to be addressed on a case by case basis. It’s safe to say that we have crossed the line and then some
If I may ask, why still use .world then?
.world users doing their thing. It’s fine for a starter but not someplace to stay
Very nice! I am what we in the industry call a fraud :^)
JK, I’m just not well versed in development or high level things. I’m in the administration, implementation and advisory side of things these days. I was a field tech prior.
One day I’ll get more into the weeds of it all. Nothing but respect for the devs that hold it all together
I’m out of the industry now, but I was saying the same. Win 10 Embedded and Win 7 IoT both served very, very well. But the always online component and other issues with 11 make it poorly suited for the use case it had in the past. Systems that relied on mapped drives are now nearly fully depreciated.
It’s very likely to be one of the NCR platforms. If I were to hazard a guess, StoreLine. Though it could be Encor/ISS45, ECRS has a pretty big market share as well. POS software is a walled garden of security through obscurity. Windows dependencies tend to be in part because it is such a small market, but also due to workstation/server requirements as well as remote support.
Long time support and stability are the name of the game. The industry doesn’t allow for much downtime which makes any change significantly harder than a lot of other industries.
It’s insane. The documentation is often times half accurate and feels like navigating a minefield of half truths, depreciations and context clues to find the solution to problems.

Only if you have an E5 license! If you have an E3 it’s still compliance and you can trial purview features
I’ll be so honest, the best android emulator is just downloading the Android SDK. You can pull off anyyyyy set up you want.
I love going to Entra (azure), the authentication manager (admin, legacy and Entra), the defender dashboard for DLP, wait no compliance, and then uh, what license do I need for this? It’s a NIGHTMARE navigating their depreciated shit. Absolutely unreal
And yet we don’t want our posts to be fed into AI slop, nor do we want independent hosts to pay for the massive amount of traffic generated by a massive corporate entity to trying to consume data en masse.
