Yes.

Yes.

With a toddler! I wedged a little TV between the seats, facing backwards, and played a video of Cathy Rigby’s legendary performance of Peter Pan, over and over, all the way down, and all the way back. By the time we got home, I had the entire thing memorized, and I had never actually SEEN it.

All that terrible tourism money rolling in, horrible.

Cleveland to Orlando.
Horseradish.

Did you see the line-up? It makes a State Fair look like Woodstock. No thanks.

I once saw a historian say that when future archeologists hit our layer of history, it’s going to be notable for the enormous amount of chicken bones they’ll find. We’ll be known as the Chicken Era.

If this island resort gets built, I hope they ruin every Oligarch vacation.

We’ve been on economically torturing them for decades, and then justify it by saying “They’re terrible, look how they make their people live!”
They’re doing the best they can with the most powerful nation in history standing on their chest. Why would they look at us as anything but a brutal enemy? Since they live right next door, maybe we should play nice, and perhaps persuade them to leave the Soviet sphere of influence and join ours.

I was supposed to fly, with my whole family, later that morning. We drove instead.

It’s okay, there will be plenty of $16 bottles of water for sale.
Dr. Oz says we’re “Under-babied.” I’m sure he meant white folks, though.
Mine is Life In Prison, so don’t fuck with me.

$50 to find out (spoiler: it isn’t)

There was one particular radio appearance that he was particular enthusiastic and confrontational, like he could get. That kind of attitude was taking him far, until he applied it to guns. In Texas.
Previous Dems had lost by double digits, but Beto got within a couple of percentage points. It seems onvious that gun statement made the difference.

The Conservative Propaganda Machine has been able to control the political messaging in this country for decades, and some of their messages have become standard belief, like the concept that everything the government does is ALWAYS incompetent and wasteful, and that simply isn’t true. MOST of what the government does is very effective.
The government is an enormous bureaucracy, and if you root around enough, you’ll find issues, but overall, it does a pretty amazing job, when responsible people are managing it.
We need to challenge these standard beliefs that have become dogma, like Dem are bad for the economy (when ALL studies prove that it’s MAGA), Socialism is terrible (when many of the best things in America are Socialist, and it still offers better outcomes than whatever we are doing now), etc., and start moving in the direction that we have been so carefully directed away from.

Yeah, that used to work, until they learned to say “We’ll just take it from the billionaires,” and everyone said “Okay, that’s perfectly acceptable.”
Now all they can do is scream “SOCIALISM!” and people are starting to think THAT sounds pretty good, too.
They’re losing their rhetorical weapons quickly, and that arsenal was pretty low to begin with.
I’m one of the good ones! Besides, I own the guillotine company, and you can’t have one.
