We used to watch a lot of game theory. Really enjoyed the over analysis. Stopped part way down the 5 nights at Freddie’s rabbit hole when all the drama started.

There’s a really good Kurzgesagt (in a nutshell) about this topic. (Also their videos are excellent in general, highly recommend their YouTube channel).
My thoughts on this are: we may not have free will but it still feels like we make choices so I will continue to choose to do things which matters to me and enjoy my time in the universe.
Snap I’m really enjoying this season. Hopefully they can stick the ending.
They are really useful if you’re in hospital and too unwell to go out for a cigarette.
Yup, several times. The joys of working in healthcare.
Do you have a game of choice? I’ve just finished running a Dresden files accelerated game which was a lot of fun.
We really need a big push into bacteriophage research I think. Get the bugs all killing each other so we can keep our antibiotics for emergencies.
I love the STALKER games, the atmosphere is absolutely top notch. The section where you have to go into the lair of the invisible dudes was terrifying. I remember meeting my first one, before going into the tunnels, and losing half my health in its first attack, I fought it standing on top of a tractor because they couldn’t climb thankfully.
That’s brutal.
Yup, I make a conscious effort to look after myself more now since I burned out from work a while back. I cycle to and from work, journal regularly (I started with Mind Journal and follow that format), walk my dog (and having a dog in general is great for self care). I make time to spend with friends and try to be present in the moment and enjoy the little things. I also make sure I go home on time from work, take my holidays and don’t take on more than I can manage.

I always enjoy a good story in my games. I particularly enjoyed the walking dead games. I’ve also just done a few runs of slay the princess which is a visual novel game with amazing voice acting and a romance/ existential horror plot. Quite short unless you do multiple runs but I’d definitely recommend it on sale.
Swallowing problems can be serious, you should see a doctor urgently.
It is, they changed it a while back.
I love in Pompeii you can follow the dicks on the cobbles to the brothel, brilliant advertising.
I love how many dicks have been drawn in historical artifacts by the people who built them. I remember reading about an engraving at the very top of an old column which the building was too unstable to get close enough to see for a long time. I think when they got up there and translated it it said something like “this is very high”. It’s nice to know people have always been people.
I had a job in a local Co-op where I was bullied by the managers. That wasn’t great.
I also had a job in quality assurance where to give you an example one of the tasks was to look at like 10k gloves front and back to check they were intact. We were not allowed to have the radio on or listen to music etc you can imagine the sort of people who were in that job long term, the conversation was not thrilling. I only did that job for a few months and I’d have been suicidal if I had to do it for much longer.
I remember crying videos about people being mean. It was a few years ago I don’t really remember any details.
