I finally let my phone do some app updates the other week, my banking app now displays full screen ads for their credit cards, conveniently right as you go to click the transfer button.

I don’t update shit anymore. I update my OS and apps on my desktop, but my phone is now being actively neglected in regards to app updates. Every single app update breaks something, removes a feature, or brings ads into the picture.

A multitude of fuckups.

I’ve owned dozens of cars, none have been purchased new (or even from a dealership), and I hope I never will. New cars are just computers with wheels, it’s a no from me.

I thought exactly the same thing, as previously though, I was willing to swallow the $8 (at the time) in order to use my tablet for coding (may as well be a laptop running android tbh).

That’s fucked up, it was $8AUD when I got it like a year ago. Fuckin corpos and their price hikes.

I was happy to swallow it to code on the go, but I only used it for a few weeks. Sometimes I lay in bed to code though so I can watch TV as well (never mind all the errors I make as a result).

I’ve got a Lenovo P11, goes pretty well on a charge, and VSCode is available on android, haven’t used it much as I almost always code at home now.

As someone who’s done shift work the overwhelming majority of their career, fatigue is worse than being drunk.

30hr sleep debt has you feeling horrible, struggling to focus, 40hr sleep debt has you acting drunk, feeling worse and bordering on dozing off.

I had a week long caffeine withdrawal once due to not realizing how hard I was leaning on caffeine to get through each day. Week off came around, stopped all the coffees and spent most of my week of sweating bullets, shaking and in pain. Never again.

That’s great to hear, genuinely the first positive impact I’ve heard of TikTok having.

I will however state the obvious, you could find most, if not all the same information with a search engine.

Thankfully, I’m not forced to interact with any of those, it’s not a problem here. Here in Australia, TikTok is everywhere, and I feel at times as if I’m the only one here that hasn’t touched it, that doesn’t stop my friends from ignoring the fact I’ve asked them countless times not to send tiktoks to me.

One of said friends is a nurse, one of the smartest people I know. She told me how to do CPR based on what she’d seen in a TikTok, as someone that’s done the CPR training, and actually performed it, I was really upset that her knowledge had been overwritten in a very short time of her TikTok addiction. I’m finding such cases are becoming more and more common kately and it’s terrifying.

TikTok is the primary source of brain-rot in 2024, please, somebody, change my mind.

The Blitz perk allows you to teleport short distances to attack with VATS, when you put a second level into the Blitz perk the range is significantly larger.

I have a grognak the barbarian build that I added blitz to, it is fucking hilarious and one shots most things, if you put enough points into AP you can teleport to multiple targets in one go.

Absolutely sickening level of badass. Blitz can be unlocked at level 3 I believe.
