As many have pointed out, it isn’t really our choice, since we have to get along and use what most people around us use.
The only solution I see is if the government mandates every messenger to use a common protocol allowing all to co-operate.

I use torrentgalaxy.to now. Or some search engine like solidtorrents.to, this one’s neat since it does not have any ads.
It seems to me that most posts/reposts on reddit are just for the fake internet points. But here on lemmy, people post just to keep the place active, & engage in some conversation.
The decision to avoid karma was a good thing in the long term, IMO.
Yep, I feel more comfortable interacting here than on reddit, maybe it’s because of the way less toxicity here.
