For folks with ADHD, like myself, slow talking video essays are a special kind of hell.
Glitchy things and video games. What even is anything anymore?

The problem with days old threads is I never remember the context. Looks like they were asking if Steams data would be more reliable. Tbh, I think Steam is great for gaming stats, not for general use stats. Statcounter supposedly uses what the browser reports when participating websites are visited.
I’m happy to see more Linux gamers don’t get me wrong. Steam is specifically gathering specs on people who game, the other stat counter (that reports 4% Linux use) is based on what people’s browsers are reporting.
Steam is only installed on one of my computers, I have at least four running Linux. Not to mention plenty of Linux users don’t game at all, so probably not.
Pierce, stop trying to coin the phrase, “Streets ahead”.
Community is streets ahead.
From the archlinux.org news post on the issue.
Arch does not directly link openssh to liblzma, and thus this attack vector is not possible.
There is no war in Ba Sing Se.
Can’t blame the technology itself for the lack of oversight from parents. Put a lock on the games, limit play time, or better yet give your kids a monthly allowance for an e-reader app. Make them excited to read.
Sounds like the parental controls aren’t being used properly, more than it being the fault of technology.
“Kids are dumb because iPads, they should be reading instead.”
Ah yes, sorry I forgot you cannot read anything on an iPad. Ever since Apple outlawed reading back in 1997, we’ve been on a downhill slide to unga bunga caveman times.
At the end of the day these platforms do one thing, deliver content. Ideally with proper federation you’d never have to screenshot a post from one platform to repost it 100 times to another.
Also, like it or not, for every bad idea on platform X, there are just as many on platform Y. The biggest differences come down to how the content is sorted, presented, and interacted with.
I like glitchy stuff, and I had friends who added “-ington” to everything for laughs.
“These ‘CAT’ cables, they aren’t made out of real cat right?”
“Have you tried making a checklist of bananas so you don’t hit them?”
“Pokemon GO to the polls.” causes me physical pain to think about.
Idk man, give me all the shit you want. I don’t have answers, I’m just frustrated and feel like I’m dying every day but can’t afford to see a doctor so, fuck me I guess.
all for rent control. Sadly it reminds me of my old neighborhood. We were supposed to get new “low income” housing nearby and I was stoked for that to bring more life to the area. Nope, NIMBY-ass neighbors had to block the street in protest… and the city caved. I was heartbroken and even told the snooty neighbor who came to our door the next day, “I live here with roommates. I’M LOW INCOME. I live here quietly, we are considerate to the neighborhood. I’m sorry we’re so unwelcome here.”
Now expensive town houses are there and last I saw, they were mostly empty and priced upwards of $800k.
I think people jump on revolution so quickly, because it feels like the ship is sinking and we’re debating on which rooms to mop first. Well, those who are already up to their necks in water, have little concern for the wet shoes of the people above, and quite frankly don’t deserve to drown simply because they work below deck.
I asked for some feedback. You shot me down. Put up, or shut up and get your bad faith bullshit out of here.
Ah yes, I forgot folks with ADHD are also insane. /s
