I do a lot of photography and I share it on my deviant art page.

It’s SFW, don’t worry.

  • Straight facts

Though my party hasn’t done some as intimately evil as your play did, they’ve definitely committed some crimes against humanity at this point.

Selling WMDs to a crime lord, giving goblin Hitler (they never asked his political aspirations) access to a weapons manufacturing plant on par with WW1 tech, etc, etc.

  • I’d say that consuming content that only confirms your biases is a form of failing media literacy as you’re failing to see the biases inherent to the content you’re consuming. There’s the flaw of “I think it’s this way” seeking out that content and not seeing that it’s poorly sourced (if at all) and eating it up.

Not to mention the role that content suggestion algorithms play in reinforcing that behavior and providing you with even more content along the lines of the biases you’re reinforcing.

It’s a complicated can of worms for sure.

  • The best part is that that’s just the tip of the iceberg really, the place where they got the samples of the zombie plague was bombed out with a 5th strain of said zombie plague that was from a bomb dropped by a kingdom of goblins that they helped 2 years ago. And by helped I mean they helped them found their kingdom.

They never asked the goblins what kind of kingdom they were going to make if they were given the Spell Forge rather than destroy it like the other factions wanted. The kingdom they were going to found turned out to be not a good place (shocker) and the goblins were able to restore the Spell Forge (and improve it) in their absence by cutting some deals with an evil god.

Basically The Great War is starting and the first domino was knocked over 2 years earlier and they didn’t even notice while they were adventuring across the country side. And they knocked over a few more as well.

This will also play into us busting into One Page Rules for some wargaming to see how things shake up.

I don’t know which faction is going to win but I know the world will never be the same after.

  • In terms of bad decisions the party has made this is definitely up there AND ties into some of their other bad decisions quite nicely.

It’s also going to solve a problem they’ve been ignoring by making it a different problem in terms of a near by area where a port city was conquered by a different crime lord who has declared themselves a new feudal lord and that that area is his.

The crime lord that they sold the zombie plagues to would rather see that port city in ruin than the hands of another, and he now has the tools to do so with as simple as a contaminated food shipment passing through the area.

  • I’m a forever DM so I’ve got so many unused character ideas that turn into either NPCs or if a player is like “I forgot to make a backstory”

But with the amount of improv I do as a DM it’s very little effort for me.

Though I agree it should be discussed as part of session 0. As it’d be rude not to.

Session 0 for my groups is always the same really, we sit around boucing ideas off of each other for characters, things we don’t want to be touched on during the campaign, and what kind of campaign we want.

  • Seriously this opens up so much creativity for the DM.

“This person seems familiar to you, but you’re not sure why.”

“You think you’ve been here before, but you’re not sure when.”

“Being on a ship feels like home, but you have no memories of ever being on a ship.”

“Upon seeing the ruins of the village you find yourself overcome with sorrow, you feel like you’ve lost something important but you don’t know what.”

Part of the adventure can be a quest to reunite them with their lost memories.

  • Before I was diagnosed?

    Poorly, very poorly lol

It literally felt like I was try to fill a bucket with sand and the only shovel I had was a sieve.

I’d literally have to wake up 5-6 hours before I had to be anywhere just to make sure I could finish my breakfast and coffee before leaving. And then I’d still more often than not finish eating or drinking my coffee in the car on the way.

I feel you on the “Having to stop a med because of the side effects,” before I was diagnosed with ADHD I was diagnosed with anxiety and I tried about a dozen different meds for it ovwr the years before calling that off and just going unmedicated. Funnily enough after my ADHD diagnosis and getting on the meds I am now (Straterra) I’ve only had 1 panic attack in the last year vs one a week or so. And I’m able to start and finish tasks. It’s fucking witchcraft.

  • For me Straterra lasts about 10-12 hours which is just about perfect. Unfortunately though for me the longer I take it the shorter that time slot becomes until I up the dosage again.

I’ve been taking it for about 18 months and it’s down to just about 8 hours for me now and for those 8 it’s still okay on effectiveness though I feel it could be a bit higher.

Basically when I up my dosage it works great for awhile then kinda starts winding down a bit.
