Plenty of countries manage it just fine.
Plenty of countries manage it just fine.
Ironically, that’s what I’m doing right now, as I’m on break.
It’s not really a win if the only way to make decent money is to work a huge amount of overtime though, I quite like having a personal life.
What you’re describing is a competent police force.
How on earth did you get that from my comment?
Yeah, if you spend all your waking hours working and have no personal life.
You do realise you’d trade one group, who have rules they mostly follow, and consequences they occasionally face, for multiple warring groups that have no rules, right?
Actually no, being an officer is a horrible job, and even where I live, it’s not very well paid.
You deserve to live in a world without police.
If they’re still out in their yard after all the gunfire, that’s kinda on them.
Honestly, the response from this story has been utterly vile.
Some of the officers who rushed to the Charlotte neighborhood to rescue the first wave of downed officers were wounded as a second shooter began firing on them after they killed the wanted man,
Given that they would have been arriving in police cars, with lights and sirens, I’m pretty sure the shooter knew.
The “typical place” is usually wherever they find the person, especially if they’re holed up at home.
People hiding from the cops don’t tend to get out much.
It’s probably not the one suggesting the police waited until the wanted criminal was in a quiet spot with nobody around.
I knew there’d be some awful takes in here, and boy are you delivering.
Three people dead, and you’re worrying about someone’s yard being a mess?
Besides, they probably wanted to get access to the side of the property.
The best way to get out of a business is generally to sell it though, so someone else keeps running it. Although shutting down a business for personal reasons isn’t generally considered a failure.
As for being an author, you only need one book to be a commercial success in order to be a “successful” author.
Sounds like a typical lemmy.ml user.
You genuinely need help.
I do think you’re right, the chances of a hit going wrong are far too high.
