I really love the design of this app, but it’s still missing a “Older first” settings which is keeping me from using it.
I’ve found out that even in Wordpress is opt-out
Or you can have it for free if you contribute to #OpenStreetMap https://www.osmand.net/docs/user/plugins/osm-editing#free-map-updates-for-mappers @Substance_P@lemmy.world
The only thing that’s preventing me from use ReadYou is that it’s still missing “Older first” reading order (and that’s why I’m using Feeder).
I’d love to read this article but I can’t
I can kinda agree. I mean, I usually play to have fun and blow off the stress of a work day. This War of Mine isn’t good for neither. But it’s an amazing game and I agree, it’s built to make you fail. But how else will it let you feel how civilians feel in a war if it was easy to win?
This War of Mine is a great game. It’s frustrating searching homes, making bad decisions (i.e. killing other civilians) and then finding nothing for your home group. It perfectly gives a sense of sadness as a civilian in a war.
There are forks (I use TachiJ2K) but who knows what their future will be.
Are we sure TachiJ2K will still be developed? I really hope Kakao won’t threaten them too.
Here in Northern Italy near Bergamo, we have something called “Gratacornia”, an half human-half goat creature, which was used to scare kids. The Gratacornia waits for the kid on top of the stairs in darkness and scratches his hooves with his long horns (Gratacornia is formed merging “Grata”=to scratch and “Cornia”=horns).
Very nice! But I had a weird problem after opening it for the first time on mobile (solved forcing the desktop view) and it’s missing a legend to know what colours represent, especially when selecting the 2014-2020 trend.
Neither was my first (but the fifth it was, sadly).
Yes, it happened to me once. I dreamed I was the main character in GTA: San Andreas, but I wasn’t CJ, I was myself inside the game. It was pretty weird, but stealing a truck was amazing.

I heard this for the first time too, but it looks like they’re right https://web.archive.org/web/20191223181612/https://leafandcore.com/2016/09/03/brave-is-a-browser-that-could-save-the-web-but-its-from-an-awful-person/
“Everything looks easy after you’ve learnt how to do it” this is what I always say to the kids I help doing their homeworks.
I understand what you mean and I agree that in those cases GMaps is more useful. But then, if no one adds anything OSM database will always be empty. So, if you don’t find something, use GMaps, that’s fine. But then, what you were looking for should be added to OSM (after real-life checks, since GMaps cannot be used as a source) to help future users.
