  • Fun fact. There’s a dating app, can’t remember which one, where it would display a full sized ad, and if you even tried to swipe back, it would instantly load the playstore.

Sorry. Not swiping to go back. Swiping to close the app. I removed that insanely quick. Whilst still not ideal, Tinder has an ad system that shows like a users profile. But you can just swipe it away without any bullshit. Or if you like the look od it you can click or swipe on it. Take a guess which one has a significantly better user experience.

  • I’m not sure what brands you have in America. But, ome brand that I’ve heard recommended is Alpinestar. Expensive, but again, can’t say from experience. But they’re quite good from what I’ve heard.

I wear near enough full RST, I got a trousers/jacket textile suit for about, I think, 320 usd. It has padded elbows, shoulders, and a back plate. And padding at the knee caps. I also have RST boots that extend higher up the legs. And some summer gloves with padded knuckles and leather around the palm and mesh on top. But, my other gloves were chasing really bad sweating.

I don’t think the US and the UK use the same safety rating guide. But, as long as you’re getting from a reputable brand, and getting protection for the most important parts, you should be okay. So the most important being hands, back, elbows, shoulders, knees, and feet/ankles. Don’t use steel capped boots though. As one read those can cause more damage to the toes.

For a very rough price, I think you should aim for about 500 usd for the rest of the gear. Might seem excessive, but like I said, can be the difference between life and death.

Actually, some where i got confused was between textile and leather. But, whilst leather is a lot better as it won’t tear as easily. Good textile would be more than enough unless you’re going to really be breaking speed limits and going for track days.

here’s 2 videos from a youtuber, he knows more than I do.

    and the second

Don’t worry too much about jumping straight for summer clothing and and cold clothing. Cold clothing will more than likely have thermals you can remove. And, with the exception of being stuck in traffic/at traffic lights, once you’re actually moving you should get a nice breeze. And something I love about my rst jacket. Its got titty zips. If its a warm day, open them up, and it allows a lovely breeze to engulf your top half.

  • I do. But only when I absolutely need to. I kind of miss the uk motorbike dub. But, eh, that’s just life.

If I do need to use it. I go firefox with ghostery, and Ublock origin. But that’s only because, if I search for a problem, reddit usually has it. If it asks me to use the mobile app, then, I can always just tell Firefox to use the desktop site, and I haven’t had an issue with that yet.

  • I think, and I may be wrong here, but that’s for archiving things that could potentially be important. Like, for AITA, someone might asked, and another could look for answers on that situation.

To me, it just seems like archival purposes. Just think how many times you’ve searched for something, and the best result is reddit. Having all of that hosted here as well, can become a backup incase reddit, some how, fully buries itself. No point losing tons of helpful information.

Edit: I forgot. It doesn’t do comments. So, I guess some subs would be a bit more pointless saving. I can see it being helpful for others where comments aren’t really needed though, but that doesn’t happen often.

  • A Kawasaki ninja 650. It might not sound like much. But, its given me something to look forward too. Before I was really lost. I thought life just isn’t worth living. But now? I still feel like that. But, its given me such a sense of freedom, and, whilst I haven’t actually met any other bikers yet. It just feels a lot nicer. Like, when I’m out and I see another, its just a simple not. But, I feel apart of something now.

I’ve been riding around 2 weeks now. But I still get giddy when I ride. I love it. More than anything I’ve had before. And I haven’t felt like this since I was with my first gf.

    This became quite long. Sorry.
