Yup if I hadn’t blocked several communities from appearing constantly in my feed, I would leave too.

Since my instance doesn’t allow porn, I have never seen weird/naughty stuff in my feed 🤷♂️
Haha maybe a little too much of a 40k insider joke but holy shit it’s so on point. Ultramarines… You have to love them 🙃
Okay a Megoosa would be pretty hilarious and equally terrifying. Have to share this with our DM 😁
Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff. It plays in a alternative medivial fantasy world where the sunlight gets blocked after a loud rumbling. It tells the story of a you man who gets recruited in a organization of hunters that kill the supernatural while the world gets conquered by the vampires, that can’t be hurt by the sun anymore.
One of the best dark fantasy books, I have read in a long time.
Yup.
I agree. Learning new systems and getting out of your comfort zone can be refreshing 🙂 Good thing that my DM is patient with me.
Hm don’t see it but I guess that’s because my home instance doesn’t allow nsfw posts. Thanks anyway 🙂
Stupid question but how do I mark a post as nsfw? I don’t see a option when I want to submit something.
How does that work when two instances can have communities/magazines with the same name?
Because the two communities are on different servers. !noncredibledefense@sh.itjust.works is on the sh.itjust.works instance/server (https://sh.itjust.works/c/noncredibledefense) and !noncredibledefense@lemmy.world, as an example, would be on lemmy.world (https://lemmy.world/c/noncredibledefense). They’re both different communities/subreddits with different mods/admins.
While this can be a little confusing at first, after a while 1 or 2 similar communities will became the mainstream ones where most traffic will go while the others will be way smaller and a little more niche.
Sorry that the link doesn’t work for you. Kbin is a different platform and I have no experience with it.
Just a little tip: If you use a browser (PC or mobile), you can simply write !noncredibledefense@sh.itjust.works and it will automatically convert the link so that people directly can subscribe regardless on which server they are.
Buying Dwarf Fortress on Steam and getting addicted? 😂
Download Blender and start learning 3D modeling. All Blender beginner’s usually start with a Donut tutorial on YouTube 😉
That’s a good thread. Have bookmarked it for future reference.
It definitely is a good alternative for the original Instagram idea (a place for photographers to share their pictures) before Meta bought Insta and turned it into Facebook 2.0.
Did you try sorting by hot? In my case it works much better and shows different results that are more diverse.
Circlejerk communities. They almost always end up being worse than the actual places they make fun of.
They stayed open during the blackout and the bootlickers used the place to complain about the protests. And when the blackout ended, the bootlickers never left …
I agree. The FOSS movement is its own subculture that can be pretty preachy and annoying for outside people.
