It is my hope that a judge will deputize America as a whole to arrest Trump’s officials if the Marshals refuse to do their duty. Maybe set a $100,000 bounty, dead or alive per head. Musk’s can be at least $1,000,000.
Protestors should bear arms. Soon enough, the Rittenhouses of the right will need to be put down when they behave like rabid DOGEs.
Conservatives escalate, and must be met in kind when they do so.
The only way I see the US becoming “solid and strong again”, is a revolution that results in a Constitution v2.0 that fixes many issues with the structure of government, voting, and setting rules regarding wealth. Otherwise, odds are that the US will splinter apart into several major bodies.
On the plus side of splintering, it means many conservatives would flee out of Blue States, and the Blue States get more people who believe in governance, science, democracy, and society. They would be far more stronger and influential than Red States in the long run. Blue States won’t have to play ball with stupid conservative ideas, such as non-medical vaccine exemptions, anti-migrant policies, and so forth.
I honestly would prefer that. I don’t want to think of Trump as a member of the human race. Plus, it would imply that the bad guys are actually competent. The Trump Regime isn’t just evil, it is weaponized secondhand embarrassment.
I think the EU should have a bloc-funded cloud program, where all nations in the EU fund a collective cloud. Each nation has their own servers, but collectively purchase the same hardware, have the same security standards, internet quality, and so forth. The majority of these servers can be housed in bloc facilities that are collectively owned by the EU, while particularly sensitive data can be kept within secure facilities within each nation’s borders. Military blueprints, diplomatic comms, ect. The generic facilities can be used for holding taxes, driver licenses, and so forth, maybe excess space of the general servers can be sold to the public for use.
This would allow the EU to be mostly economical, while maintaining their safety. Plus, it gives an “public option” of sorts on cloud services, so commercial companies have to exceed the baseline standard set by the government cloud service.
There are many ways to win in life. LinkedIn isn’t one of them.
I think Trump is clearing land for the techno-fiefs that Project 2025 wants to create among the head fascists. He hands out land parcels, gets a reacharound from Thiel and company.
I expect Musk to become the first trillionaire from all of this. Thing is, that trillion will be worth $100 Euros or any other form of currency that isn’t attached to America.
May the money pit that Musk stands on, suck him in like a bog.
Trump doesn’t care about law, be it domestic or foreign. He will just grab you by the nethers and say that your visa is dead because he thought it should be.
If there is a warmup, I think the Mar-a-Lago would be a good place to make things toasty. It makes it clear what waits for Trump if he continues to use the Oval Office as a toilet bowl.
I would prefer a slightly incompetent but well meaning person to lead, than someone malicious and skilled. With the former, they will be willing to acknowledge their mistakes or what people want, while the latter would play shell games while pocketing the riches of the people.
Term and age limits are needed, so that evil people cannot build a nest made out of the government. What we lose in raw efficiency, we regain from a lack of corruption.
Yup. For example, the game “Seeds of Chaos” had to change their introduction on account of demons trying to corrupt the protagonists through blackmail, and the removal of the minotaur scenes.
I would like this. I enjoy playing hentai games, but MasterVisa bans or alters the games by denying their services to creators and stores alike. This is an affront to free speech.
I think AI will be useful, but like any nascent technology, it will have to be accessible for the public before the everyman would adopt it. IMO, we are currently at the 2nd or 3rd stage in the picture below.
I am looking forward to the “Trump Firing Range” activity center at the Nuremburg Museum. With an airsoft gun, you get to shoot wax dummies of Trump, Vance, Thiel, Musk, and other conservative critters. If you are a good marksman, you win prizes, such as a Golden Visa that is worth $10 bucks as a curio of a fallen nation.
If the EU is allowed to employ guards in MS’s buildings and to roll their own secured version of Windows, I wouldn’t mind sticking to Windows 11 EU. On the other paw, if DOGE is given access to Microsoft, I shall flee to Linux. Hopefully, SteamOS Desktop will be a thing if the latter happens.
Unfortunately, any app that needs a GPU would be difficult to work with in a VM. You have to manually set up GPU-passthru, which requires figuring out the PCI addresses and whatnot of your card, along with using a terminal. As I understand it, this process also prevents you from using that GPU outside of the VM, which is cruddy.
I was hoping to have a Linux Mint + Windows 11 VM back in January, but that didn’t work out. I am hoping that the upcoming SteamOS Desktop would make Linux friendly enough for games that aren’t native to Steam, such as my GOG collection, Window 3.1 stuff like Stars!, modding, and assorted Japanese locale games.
