Because Musk is a vocal ass and so many on Lemmy can’t distinguish the good some of his companies do from the jerkoff owner.

Nestle does evil and is run by evil. Tesla is pushing the automobile industry in the direction it needs to go, but it is majority owned by evil. It’s not as simple as a keyboard activist response, so I’m looking forward to the downvotes as I point this out again.

I use Sync and if you had put Musk or Twitter in the headline, I’d never have seen this.

What sucks is that I can’t block “x” because too many other headlines have X in the word and the filter strips leading and trailing spaces from the keyword.

It’s also why college can make someone more liberal

23 years ago offices buildings were not locked. No doors were locked. Zero. You didn’t need a badge to be in the building. Now in most places you swipe through every single door and you need a badge on a lanyard.

People who care that you’re a non drinker are people with problems that you generally dont want to be a part of.

I think the increase in really good tasting non alcoholic beer and spirits is telling.

I quit drinking last September and it was the best thing for my mental and physical health I ever did. Lemmy.world/c/stopdrinking has so many people who quit drinking for reasons other than hitting rock bottom.

Trying to stop progress has never worked. Sure, there are regulations that should be put in place, but putting the genie back in the bottle isn’t going to happen.

If we don’t chew, our jaws would not develop. The bone growth of our faces would change and our teeth would become incredibly crowded and crooked.

One of the current leading theories for why we now often need braces is called the Soft Foods Theory. The basic idea is that we eat much softer foods than our hunter-gatherer ancestors did, so we aren’t stimulating as much bone growth in our jaws when we chew our food, which leaves our teeth with insufficient space to grow in straight.

If we didn’t chew at all and just took pills for food, we’d probably need to get all of our teeth removed as part of growing up, we’d have no chins and we’d all talk much differently than we do now.

Are you aware of the changes in modern teeth due to dietary changes? Basically, we now need braces because we no longer chew such hard dense foods.
