Should we just go back to closed forums? lmao
I may make some grammar mistakes, but remind you, english is not my main language. I am very interested in learning, so feel free to correct me in a polite manner.

Wait… I thought Lemmy liked TPB as much as Star Trek. I just like Mr. Lahey
Thanks Captain 🫡
I had some hope for Bluesky. I thought it was going to be the mid term between Twitter and Mastodon, but I got disappointed.
Keeping up with all the comments and the fear of being repetitive made it impossible indeed
Agreed about the less people makes it more comfy. The whole instance is your community too, I guess being able to choose what you want from a instance makes everyone more comfortable. You don’t get overflown with people with different objectives when it comes to browsing Lemmy.
It’s the Freudian question. What every psychology treatment, let it be behavior, psychoanalysis, humanist… comes to: Can you talk about your childhood/parents? It’s not an invalid question, but not a responsible thing for an actual adult to do, make your parents totally responsible for your actions past adulthood.
I bought a new laptop, and it was lagging more than my old PC. I was enraged by this fact. My old pc had 4gb RAM, my laptop would freeze playing games like osu. Yeah, 8gb was the limit in 2016, but not like to get random freezes. I installed Ubuntu and then never went back, now using Arch. Performance. No random things going under my nose, making spikes happen. Now, it’s not about performance alone. It’s about control and privacy. I study psychology and I wish my peers realized what it means using Meta services everyday, Microsoft, etc, and how these are connected with our everyday life, decisions and lack of control, thus worth to get the psychology field to debate and put the everyday services under discussion.
You can’t print whole books if your costumer asks you to without having permission to do so, you would be a distributor. If you ask the question “if I do something illegal or harmful to someone, should I be taken responsibility?” you can get a better answer. You don’t need a third party to take ethical decisions for you. That’s the point of the thread, ad companies have knowledge about harmful ads and refuse to take them down.
Windows just rips off every plasma feature at this point, even kde devs make fun of it
I carry a briefcase and do all the adulthood stuff, things. Some guys at the office wanted to exchange real money for bitcoins, but holding coins is a children thing (and I am not a children). I like paper money.
Sorry for the disrespect ma’am. Next time I will call you as you deserve, Esteemed character actress Margot Robbie of Hollywoo.
Wow, Margot! Such a beautiful input. No wonder how you sold Barbie for the producers.
The dad one hit me. Did that yesterday and today he practically pretends it didn’t happened. But yeah, I think this is a good advice for the youngesters, confront your parents if needed. I wish I didn’t wait till 25 to do it. Hope you are okay now, or getting better, even if by a little day by day. AND PRACTICE YOUR SINGING
Agreed. This was a huge dilemma for me. In my professional field, having publication as part of a portfolio is somewhat important, but having them published in my personal website that barely gets a visit is giving AI content. Last month I came to the same conclusion, that there is no way of escaping it and not doing anything such as publishing, commenting and interacting is denying human existence. What a time to be alive 🤧
