I’m pretty sure there are some for the original tomb raider games too. I don’t remember off the top of my head. But I know they exist, I think.

The homm IP I’m pretty sure was acquired. Yeah Ubisoft didn’t make homm, but they bought the IP long ago

Well I feel stupid. I’m pretty oblivious to homm and don’t really follow it. My bad for not looking too deep into it. Reason I assumed it was a Ubisoft game is because I saw somewhere on YouTube Ubisoft promoting the 30th anniversary. And Ubisoft is the current IP holder of homm. I never in my life thought Ubisoft would license out an IP they own to a non Ubisoft team.

Its a Ubisoft game… What’s the catch?
Edit: didn’t realize it was from hooded horse. Never in my life I thought I would see Ubisoft license out an IP they own to a non Ubisoft team. I feel stupid for this and I’m sorry.

I actually gave it a try by just disabling the forced compatability and then using __GL_13ebad=0x1 %command% in the launch options. it works with dlss. only issue for me are the frame drops that pretty much make it unplayable. i saw a post somewhere, someone was saying more power was going to their gpu on the native build. i think that’s what’s happening to me and its causing some throttling. on proton with vulkan, the game runs fine for the most part.

I’m confused. It’s a Linux native build, but they call it steam deck native. Does this mean it’s not optimized for Nvidia since steam deck is AMD hardware? I’m fairly new to Linux, so the wording is throwing me off.

That’s very concerning. It’s wild it even exist.

From what you’re saying, it sounds like you have to be in a public lobby first, then hop into private for them to get your id. Can they get your id without ever being in the lobby or any contact at all? Currently you can just go into single player and start a private lobby. Idk how the enhanced edition does, I’m assuming it’s the same. I haven’t played in a couple years, so getting into a private lobby might have changed.

They made it much easier to setup private lobbies for friends and crew. Haven’t played in public lobbies in years.

It feels like they’ve been acquiring a lot of studios recently. Hopefully it doesn’t crumble all at once. And hopefully they don’t force LE to put slop monetization into the game.

Zoomers would have summarized this just by saying “its mid”.
Seems like there is a plot twist to this story no one is mentioning https://bsky.app/profile/jasonschreier.bsky.social/post/3ltmyjaecpc2w
i really like reading through these. unfortunately i cant seem to find a android app that doesnt slow down/lag when i try to read on mobile. i tried boost for lemmy and thunder. they both get slow downs. any other recommendations? i’m currently running a pixel 9a with graphene os.
The complementary games from prime gaming are delicious. Most are gog. I’m pretty sure prime gaming gave away the original classic tomb raider games for gog. Now the remasters, 👌
I’m pretty sure the gothic 1 remake demo is also on gog.

It’s weird seeing free game associated with subscription. I’d probably say it’s complimentary. I mean technically it could be free if someone else in the family is paying for Amazon prime and you’re just reaping the benefits of prime gaming.
I’m not 100% sure, just basing off observation since I don’t own the game yet, the oblivion remaster seems to have always on ray tracing. On the different videos I’ve seen showcasing the game, in the settings there’s options for different lumen settings. But they’re never off when you put it on lowest settings. It’s either low or high for lumen. I think that explains the not so favorable performance on steam deck for most people.
I’d love my speculation to be proven wrong. So if anyone has the game and can post a screenshot with the lumen completely turned off, without the use of external tools or modding, that would be great.
Started playing Star wars the force unleashed. Got 1 and 2 from prime gaming a long time ago. Installed through heroic. I played the first one when I was young on the Wii. Never played the second.
I think a name change would have to match. Steam hardware seems pretty straight forward to me.
