UBI is, at best, a bandaid to prop up a failing system. It allows people to survive by feeding the machine that makes their lives difficult in the first place. As long as that system exists, no “fix” will ever be a permanent solution.

At no point did I mention volume, I implied education. I actually find just yelling louder to be worse than censorship, as all it does is increase the level of tension and push people towards extremes. Which helps no one.
I also didn’t mean to imply that we shouldn’t use band-aids at all, just that it’s a simple treatment, not a cure. Blocking certain speech and rhetoric can help to a degree… but not if it’s the only thing you do.
The problem with current strategies is that no one wants to go beyond that first step. Whether it’s censorship, or shouting.
Yeah, the pressure to never show emotion, to always be strong and never ask for help, to try not to show the distress at being inherently distrusted because so many people who happen to share the same kind of chromosomes. Totally easy mode.
Just because it’s less stressful than some other demographics doesn’t make it, in any way, easy. Just slightly less difficult.
