  • He had pretty much that his first two years. Maybe not the judicial branch, totally. But, he had both chambers of congress. They could have done a lot but didn’t because of incompetence, a little dissent and fear of electoral reprisals.

Now, they’re more organized and possibly more unified behind the rat-fucking that’s planned.

If they move too fast they’ll lose the House in two years. If they slow boil, we’ll all be cooked before we know it.

  • The vaccines have been tested, reviewed and used in a majority of the population and reviewed more. All the data is there. How much more do you need?

Where is any data at all showing them to be ineffective or dangerous? Where?

Do you really think government agencies are faking and hiding data so that people can be injected with vaccines that don’t work? If so, why? What evidence is there for this? What motivation could you even speculate on?

No one is claiming scientists are perfect. The reason we know there’s some bad science out there is because the process works.

You don’t get to claim scientists are lying without showing some fucking evidence.

  • Newspapers have a long history of publishing editorials and opinion pieces. Newspapers are rarely, if ever, pure, objective news. Endorsements fall under the editorial content. They are an established tradition.

When the owner dictates that no endorsement should be made because it conflicts with his views, that’s a problem. It’s not the editors with domain knowledge making the call but the self-serving business-man doing it. And it’s not for the good of the paper, it’s for his business interests and personal ideology.

    That is the problem.

  • Might have something to do with the fact that, in Europe, they had to live alongside other people. In America they had their little bubbles where the crazy could echo and become stronger. Combine that with the amount of opportunistic grifters that came to and were bred in America. The “land of opportunity” inspired an individualistic greed that was more than happy to use religion to feed itself. The Mormons are the classic example.

Catholics in America were a minority and there was bigotry directed at them. They were more inclined to keep separate—not so much now. In my town, the catholic school kids would have Catholic slurs shouted at them by the public school kids. These days the conservative Catholics are more or less allied with the evangelical Protestants.
