Nerd, truck driver, and kinda creeped that you’re reading this.

“y’all” fills a legitimately useful gap the English language has. Other languages have a word like this.
Edit: also something cool I just found out, some languages have a way to disinguish “we” (you and I), and “we” (me and the rest of us, not you). It’s called clusivity and is missing from European languages. Many indigenous languages of the Americas and Oceania have this, as well as Vietnamese and northern dialects of Mandarin.
This Al Jazeera article as well
I really don’t like her but what the fuck did you want exactly? A coup?
Please, she’s not that cool.
No let it die.
It seems fairly likely Trump will win the popular vote
Florida voted 57% in favor of allowing abortion
Unfortunately they’ve (iirc, not that long ago) made it so you need 60% to pass an amendment
Nah this shit hole has been making a hard right turn for a while.
When I voted today we put our ballots directly into electronic counters I can’t imagine why it would take long
Same with weed
Florida needs 60% yes to pass, higher than any previous measure got.
And they got some absolutely fucked description on the ballot (and past a lawsuit)
The proposed amendment would result in significantly more abortions and fewer live births per year in Florida. The increase in abortions could be even greater if the amendment invalidates laws requiring parental consent before minors undergo abortions and those ensuring only licensed physicians perform abortions. There is also uncertainty about whether the amendment will require the state to subsidize abortions with public funds. Litigation to resolve those and other uncertainties will result in additional costs to the state government and state courts that will negatively impact the state budget. An increase in abortions may negatively affect the growth of state and local revenues over time. Because the fiscal impact of increased abortions on state and local revenues and costs cannot be estimated with precision, the total impact of the proposed amendment is indeterminate. THE FINANCIAL IMPACT OF THIS AMENDMENT CANNOT BE DETERMINED DUE TO AMBIGUITIES AND UNCERTAINTIES SURROUNDING THE AMENDMENT’S IMPACT.
I wish it was just a month
I definitely employed this strategy in middle school
Doesn’t generally work because logic doesn’t work on these people
Nah man gotta keep that shit swampy
It might could be worth it if you’re doing a shorter flight and just don’t have baggage but that’s rare.
I think in this case prohibition should work fine…
The alternative is just… Get a non-disposable one and learn a bit of maintenance. Jesus.
Books have… Scales? What?
AI sucks at creativity
There are exceptions for the very few things the US authorizes to export to Cuba, but in general:
- What are the “180-day rule” and the “goods/passengers-on-board rule”?
The 180-day rule is a statutory restriction prohibiting any vessel that enters a port or place in Cuba to engage in the trade of goods or the purchase or provision of services there from entering any U.S. port for the purpose of loading or unloading freight for 180 days after leaving Cuba, unless authorized by OFAC. This restriction is applied even if a vessel has stopped in Cuba solely to purchase services unrelated to the trade of goods, such as planned ship maintenance.
No of course not why would the most powerful man on earth and former VP to the president who made that progress with Cuba have any responsibility to change anything.
He had the power and has not done it. It IS as bad as Trump’s actions to uphold them.
I was more pointing out how Biden has done little or nothing to REVERSE Trump’s regressions despite having the power to.
Excellent
