Quick point of clarification: according to monumentaltrees.org, this is the largest Giant Sequoia in the US outside of California as measured by girth at breast height. Sorry for leaving that out in the original title. It appears there are bigger ones by that same measurement in other countries like the UK and New Zealand, going off the same site’s (monumentaltrees.org) records.
